This accessory to Marc's tool line allows the tier to place the tool in the center of the thread loop to permit placing different materials above and below the clamp. By squeezing the thumb and index finger on the "handles" of the tool the spring opens slightly to slip over the thread loop. Releasing the pressure on the tool closes the spring.
